A dedicated and family run business, M Suckling Memorials was established in 1982 following an already successful career within the stone industry. Experience within the sign writing and technical drawing trade means that we are well placed to design and create the perfect memorial according to your taste.

New Memorials
Bespoke Design Service
M Suckling Memorials offers a unique approach to the design and creation of your new memorial. As the customer you no longer have to choose a standard product from a brochure, but instead you can personalise the memorial in a way that best represents your loved ones.
We have a fantastic range of stones and finishes to choose from including granite (polished or honed), marble, Portland, slate and many more. Regulations regarding the size and the material permitted will be specific to your churchyard or cemetery, however we are on hand to advise you every step of the way.

Additional Inscriptions
Unique Letter Matching
If you require an additional inscription to your memorial (regardless if we made your memorial or not) M Suckling Memorials are able to precisely match the existing lettering to seamlessly enhance your stone.
Because of the hand finished process, all types of lettering can be matched by our skilled craftsmen, including:

Sand blasted
Computer generated design
Raised Lead
Gold leaf and painted finishes

Renovations & Re-Leveling
Remarkable Cleaning Results
Whether your memorial is made of granite, marble, slate or any other natural stone it may eventually be susceptible to the weather over time. M Suckling Memorials offer a complete renovation and cleaning service for all types of stone and monuments, from a simple clean and re-level to more complex renovations that require re-gilding and re-cutting the inscription. Depending on the time of year and the amount of work required, it is often possible to complete the renovation in the cemetery or churchyard. However, for those more difficult jobs we will carefully remove the memorial and transport it to our workshop to carry out the renovation.

Imagination in Stone
Of course it is equally important to commemorate the lives of our non-human companions, and you can do so in a variety of ways. Most commonly these special monuments are placed in private gardens where you are not bound by the regulations of churchyards or local authorities, meaning that there is far more scope to be imaginative in its design.
We can create anything from scaled down full memorials to inscribed boulders, pebbles and rustic stones. This can also include a ceramic photo and the wording of your choice.
